The best part of this little thingy we’re doing here is that we get the chance to cruise around the countryside, visiting a number of cute (yeah, cute … I guess …) antique and second-hand shops. Some of them aren’t the nicest places I’ve been, while some of them are awesome. So awesome that I thought I’d let folks know about some of them:
Past & Present Wares, Blyth
Note: Wendy is also an interior designer, and we’ve had the opportunity to take a walk through her lovely home. In a word: amazing! She’s got that whole modern vintage thing down, and is an excellent source of inspiration for those looking for the right pieces to complete their look.
Pioneer Antiques, Tanunda
It’s a veritable rabbit warren of pots, jars, china and other collectibles. However, 40 years of expertise gives you great insight into identifying what you’re after.
While we’re throwing out thank yous …
Annette Farrow – a wealth of information for starting a business, growing a business … and keeping it running. Visit her at The Helium House in Gawler.
The Folks at Clare Valley Brewing/Hop and Vine (clarevalleybrewing.com.au). Not only for good beer and healthy hangovers, but also for some timely tips and advice.
Chris Carter of Clare Caltex … he’s looked after us with great prices for trailer hire … and happens to know something about throwing kids’ parties (Mid North Bouncy Hire)
… And, of course, Tom Jones & Kate Jones and Michele McGuire and Josh Mcguire, for letting us be a part of your special day.
