Perhaps you would prefer something more intimate in your own private garden or that of a friends, either way, you can have a wonderful memories just like the beautiful couple here, marrying in their friends’s garden.
Beach weddings can also be spectacular and don’t always have to be on the sand. Often there are grassed areas near the beach, or even on a jetty. It’s often quirky to add a ritual to your ceremony, sand ceremonies work well at wedding ceremonies, as do many other rituals such as Unity Candle Ceremonies, releasing butterflies or doves, ring warmings, wine ceremony – the list is governed by your own choice and imagination.
Elopements
So, you’re kind of over the fuss, arguments and stress that can sometimes build up when organising a wedding ceremony. Families not seeing eye to eye, everyone has an opinion, your head is spinning. What should you do? Why not elope? You can have a small, personal and relaxed ceremony, then return home and announce you are married over a family get together or a casual bbq. No fuss elopements can be the perfect answer, because, after all, you only want to be married, isn’t that right?
Commitment Ceremonies
Commitment Ceremonies are not only for same sex couples, although in current times, this is unfortunately, the required option for many couples. Heterosexual people, from all walks of life, religious beliefs, cultural differences etc, choose to hold a commitment ceremony to express their love and commitment to each other publicly, without all of the legal paperwork. These can be equally as beautiful as a formal wedding ceremony.
Naming Ceremonies
You want to celebrate the birth of your child, but you decided a Christening is not what you are looking for. A Naming Ceremony may be just the answer. It allows parents to publicly express their love, hopes and dreams for their child.
A Naming Ceremony can be held at your home, in a garden or park, on the beach, in fact anywhere that suits your ideals. Why not combine it was a special birthday celebration.
Godparents or Adult Mentors play a huge part throughout your child’s life so it’s important to chose these people wisely.
Renewal of Vows
Whether it’s a special anniversary, birthday or just because two people are still in love, a Renewal of Vows is a perfect way to express your love for each other at any time in front of family and friends.
Any place can be used for your ceremony, but be aware, some Councils or National Parks require you to seek approval or permission before holding a ceremony on their land.
